With just a few simple ingredients like cinnamon (add or remove to your liking), sugar or honey, fresh ginger, lemon and water, you can create an amazing drink that everyone will love to enjoy.
What you’ll need:
- A small piece of fresh ginger, cut into coins
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 SOF limes, juiced
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 ¼ cups water, divided use
- 1/4 cup SOF dried hibiscus petals
- ½ cup sparkling water (optional)
- 6 slices orange
What you’ll do:
- Add the ginger to a pan then cover it with the sugar and 1/4 cup of the water. Bring to a boil, lower the heat and let simmer for 10 minutes, covered then set it aside to cool.
- Next, bring the remaining 2 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, turn off the heat, add the hibiscus petals with a cinnamon stick, and cover. Allow steeping for 15 minutes.
- Strain the ginger out of the syrup mixture, and prepare a glass jug. Add plenty of ice cubes, then pour the cooled hibiscus tea, the sugar syrup, and juiced lime. Mix well then add your orange slices and top with sparkling water.
